Hosting and server log files

This website is a static site delivered by our hosting provider. When you visit it, the hosting provider's servers automatically record technical information that your browser transmits, such as browser type and version, operating system, referring page, date and time of the request, and IP address. This happens automatically as a technical necessity of delivering the site and is not combined with any other data. It is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in the secure and reliable operation of this website.

We do not use cookies, analytics services or any third-party tracking tools on this website.

Contact and request form

If you use the request form to ask about an artwork, we collect the information you enter: your name, email address, an optional reference code, and your message. This data is used solely to respond to your enquiry and is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract) or, where no contract is intended, our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Depending on configuration, the form is either submitted to a third-party form-processing service acting on our behalf, or opens a pre-filled email in your own email programme addressed directly to us. In either case, the data is only used to handle your enquiry and is deleted once it is no longer needed for that purpose, unless we are legally required to retain it for longer (e.g. German commercial and tax retention periods).

If you sign up for the newsletter, we collect your email address in order to send you news, thoughts, project updates and information about new collections. This is done on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, for example by contacting us at hello@charliering.studio. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. If we process your data on the basis of your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
